“Habla” 

“Habla” is a documentary series that focuses on the US Latino experience, and one of the longest running shows on HBO history (2003-2022). The show explores issues of bilingualism, multiculturalism and assimilation through interviews with celebrities and regular people. The show has featured Lin Manuel Miranda, Dolores Huerta, Justina Machado, Olympic champion Laurie Hernandez, Charo, José Andrés, Diane Guerrero, Lisa Garcia-Quiroz, Soledad O’Brien, Residente, Xiuhtezcatl Martinez, Wilson Cruz, Carla Morrison, Rita Moreno, and Danny Trejo among many others. About Alberto

Alberto Ferreras is a writer, filmmaker and creative consultant known for his award winning novel “B as in Beauty”—published in the U.S. Spain, and Italy—, and for “Habla”, a 12-part documentary series created for HBO that has been on the air since 2003. He is one of the creators of “El Perro y el Gato”, a bilingual children’s animated show for HBO Family, and “Madres y Comadres” the first web-novela produced by Kmart for the Hispanic market of the U.S. In 2008 he collaborated as a writer in Cris Morena’s Disney International series “Jake & Blake”.

Ferreras started his career as writer and then producer of “MTV International”, a weekly show produced by MTV with  Daisy Fuentes (1991 to 1993). The show spearheaded the global growth of MTV.
