Somos

What do Latinos look like?

Latinos come in all colors, races, and sizes. Somos (We Are), a video installation by Alberto Ferreras commissioned by the Smithsonian Institution for the National Museum of the American Latino, features 150 portraits—#ShotoniPhone—that celebrate the rich diversity of the Latino experience. The project is a powerful reminder that there isn’t just one way to look—or be—Latino.

Sleeping Cities

In 2020—at the height of the pandemic— Alberto Ferreras created a series of iconic photographs of New York City shot on iPhone.

Some of these images were included in the exhibit “Ciudades Durmientes” (Sleeping Cities) of the Museum of Modern Art in Bogotá

ANGEL RATS

Since 2019 Alberto Ferreras has been trying to convince New Yorkers that pigeons are beautiful

He doesn’t refer to them as “flying rats”. He calls them “angel rats”.
